Covington Travel is dedicated to community involvement on both a corporate and an individual level. Our President and CEO, Josée Covington, is an avid supporter of arts and culture, and as such, Covington Travel contributes to multiple community organizations as a corporate sponsor.
In addition Covington has organized an internal group of volunteers, Covington Cares which contributes to various non-profit organizations.
Proud Supporter of the Arts
Covington Travel is a proud supporter of the arts, education, culture and non-profit organizations primarily in the Richmond community. Covington supports a wide variety of nonprofit organizations such as the Richmond Symphony, Richmond Ballet, Rotary Club International, Virginia Commonwealth University Schools of the Arts, Business and Social Work, Virginians for High-Speed Rail, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Virginia Opera and WCVE, National Public Radio.
Proud Supporter of the Haiti Project
Covington is proud to support the Haiti Project through our partnership with BCD and the BCD Travel Foundation. Our mission is to offer a high-quality education for children living in extreme poverty in Mirebalais, Haiti, through L’Ecole de Choix (School of Choice).
With an education, they’ll be able to support themselves and their families, to educate their own children, and end the cycle of poverty. The school is active, with 180 children enrolled in grades 1-6.
This Haiti project will give underprivileged children the opportunity to make an extraordinary impact on the social fabric, the economy, the non-profit environment, the business sector and virtually every aspect of the Haitian community.
Covington Cares is a grass-roots employee volunteer committee that participates in fundraising for non-profit causes that are personally meaningful to our staff members. Recent projects include the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, ChildFund’s Dream Bike program, a Peanut Butter challenge, a holiday food drive supporting Feedmore and Go Red Day.
