Covington's Commitment to Virginia and
Global Travel Associations
Covington is a long time member of the Virginia Business Travel Association (VBTA), an affiliate of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). Other members of these organizations represent major corporations and travel suppliers throughout the world.
Along with the VBTA, the global organization provides members with information on the latest technical and service advantages within the industry, as well as current legislative issues involving travel costs and safety matters affecting business travel.
Our membership in this association not only benefits our front line travel advisors and our management team, but also the companies and travelers we serve. The educational opportunities available through membership in this association are numerous.
We have two team members on the board of the VBTA. Sam Keene, Covington’s VP Business Development, is the VBTA Chapter President, and Laurie Scott, Covington’s Manager of Corporate Services, is the VBTA Education Committee Chair.

- 2011 Travel Industry Forecast –by airlines, hotels, rental car companies and a travel management company
- Traveler security and risk management
- Social media and travel policies
- Legislative affairs applicable to travel ancillary fees
