Arizona’s Diversity is Perfect for Meetings & Incentives
What makes Arizona so well suited for meetings and incentives? Let’s start with the climate. Arizona’s weather is dry with very little rainfall. Temperatures vary greatly from place to place, season to season and day to night. Mild winters in the Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson areas are very attractive to companies looking for a meeting destination with universal appeal. In the spring and fall, the delightful temperatures and low humidity of Oak Creek Canyon to the north make corporate travel buyers heroes for “arranging” perfect weather to compliment the event.
When it comes to resorts, Arizona has a great variety of different lodges, hotels and inns. In central Arizona, The Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa is fabulous for small meetings and incentives. It is a luxury boutique hotel situated in Red Rock Country and features a distinctive Mediterranean design with an ambiance unique to the Southwest.
To the south, at the base of Camelback Mountain, the Montelucia Resort & Spa (pictured right) is the essence of southern Europe in the heart of Scottsdale. These are just two of our favorites, but we have personally inspected many fine resorts in Arizona and can help travel planners choose the right one for their event.
The cultural diversity of Arizona is also quite rich. The state is home to twenty-one federally recognized American Indian tribes who play a significant role in the state’s economy. The Navajo Tribe is the largest Indian tribe in the US and contributes considerably to Arizona’s tourism industry. The Yavapai-Apache Nation concentrates on agriculture and the Hopi Tribal Council sets Indian policy to oversee tribal business and law. Many individual Native American reservations throughout Arizona concentrate on gaming, lumbering and cattle ranching.
Arizona is home to one of the most powerful and inspiring landscapes on earth. A visit to the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, would be a highlight to your company’s retreat. Its geological history dates back over 200 million years and it is home to countless species of mammals, reptiles, fish and birds. A day trip to see the Grand Canyon by air with Grand Kingdom Helicopter Tours is always popular with meeting attendees. They can also see the grandeur by water on a Colorado River Float Tour, by land on a jeep tour or they can descend the steep walls right into the heart of the canyon on the back of a sure-footed mule. However your participants see the Grand Canyon, it will not be soon forgotten, and neither will your event.
Inspire your meeting attendees by taking them to Arizona where diversity is a way of life!
