The Homestead Getaway
"We had a delightful time, although I've got to be back on my diet since indulging in the fine food! 
The Homestead is in the midst of some amazing renovations - a new spa that looks like something out of ancient Rome, rehabbing a couple of the smaller dining rooms - and they say everything will be done in 60 days.
Despite that, there was plenty to do and enjoy, not the least of which being stretched out on a chaise in the solarium at the back of the library. We did the Cascades Gorge hike, which was beautiful and challenging. The guide, Brian, was superb, and it was a delight to see the beginnings of wildflowers even in the coolest part of the gorge.
So many thanks to WCVE and Covington Travel for helping this tired priest get a break to relax and recharge! Once again, many thanks- we came back refreshed and raring to go!"
