Community Involvement

Josée Covington, President of Covington Travel and Curtis Monk at WCVE fundraiser.

Covington Travel is a proud supporter of the arts, education, culture and non-profit organizations primarily in the Richmond community. Covington supports a wide variety of nonprofit organizations such as the Richmond Symphony, Richmond Ballet, Rotary Club International,  Virginians for High-Speed Rail, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Virginia Opera and WCVE.

In addition, Covington Cares, a group of volunteers, make a difference in our community by reaching out to non-profits. Examples of recent projects include collecting non-perishable goods for the local Food Bank and toys for the Fox Holiday Socks program.

Proud Supporter of the Haiti Project

Covington is proud to support the Haiti Project through our partnership with BCD and the BCD Travel Foundation. Our mission is to offer a high-quality education for children living in extreme poverty in Mirebalais, Haiti, through L’Ecole de Choix (School of Choice).

With an education, they’ll be able to support themselves and their families, to educate their own children, and end the cycle of poverty. The school is active, with 180 children enrolled in grades 1-6.

This Haiti project will give underprivileged children the opportunity to make an extraordinary impact on the social fabric, the economy, the non-profit environment, the business sector and virtually every aspect of the Haitian community.
