Proud Supporter of the Arts
Covington Travel is a proud supporter of the arts, education, culture and non-profit organizations in the greater Richmond community.
Josée Covington, President and CEO of Covington, provides support to non-profit organizations such as the Richmond Symphony, Richmond Ballet, Rotary Club International, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Virginia Opera and WCVE.
Covington Cares is a grass-roots employee volunteer committee that participates in fundraising for non-profit causes that are personally meaningful to our staff members. Recent projects include the Holiday Fox Socks, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, ChildFund’s Dream Bike program, Feedmore Peanut Challenge and Go Red Day.
Walk to End Alzheimers
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s number one fundraiser to help those battling with Alzheimer’s. Today over 26,000 individuals in the Richmond chapter have Alzheimer’s. Our support allows the chapter to offer referral services, care consultation, support groups, education and safety programs.
Proud Supporter of the Haiti Project
Covington is proud to support the Haiti Project through our partnership with BCD and the BCD Travel Foundation. Our mission is to offer a high-quality education for children living in extreme poverty in Mirebalais, Haiti, through L’Ecole de Choix (School of Choice).
With an education, they’ll be able to support themselves and their families, to educate their own children, and end the cycle of poverty. The school is active, with 180 children enrolled in grades 1-6.
This Haiti project will give underprivileged children the opportunity to make an extraordinary impact on the social fabric, the economy, the non-profit environment, the business sector and virtually every aspect of the Haitian community.
