We just returned from the trip of a lifetime, all expertly and patiently arranged by Jean Riekers, Covington Travel. We started planning in late December 2022 for a Rhine River cruise in August to celebrate my husband’s retirement. Our kids (late 20’s – late 30’s) are all about technology and saw no reason to engage a travel agent, “how old fashioned, Mom”, but I knew better! With 8 people, two different states, and everyone wanting to use points to upgrade flights and book hotels, Jean was a masterful coordinator. She found a spectacular air/land package that allowed us to go in a day early for the cruise and to stay two days post cruise in Zurich.

If you think today’s technology eliminates the usefulness of a travel agent, you are dead wrong. Technology just increases a good travel agent’s efficiency and effectiveness. We have already asked Jean to book a tour of Italy for Spring 2024 with three other couples and I can’t wait to head out for Europe again, with Jean’s assistance.
