More About Karen – Vacation Travel Advisor
During 23 years in travel, I’ve taken numerous cruises and visited over thirty countries. So far, I’ve journeyed to far-reaching destinations such as South Africa, Botswana, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Costa Rica, and Egypt. Plus – I’ve traveled all over Europe including Ireland, Scotland, Italy, England as well as the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
As an Accredited Cruise Counselor (ACC), I’ve cruised with extensively on several top cruise lines and a river cruise. I’ve had so many wonderful experiences, but cruising along the Norwegian Fjords, down the coast of South America and around Cape Horn, along the Seine from Paris as well as in the Med were special.
I approach trip planning as a match maker listening carefully to my clients’ desires, needs and dreams then matching them with the perfect vacation plan. It is so rewarding when everything comes together to make a special memory.
The difference between ordinary and extraordinary are the little extras and this is what I strive to deliver with every trip. Personal contacts around the world make all the difference when personalizing a trip.”
Safari in Botswana
In Botswana, I inspected five safari camps operated by Wilderness Safari in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. This is one of the largest conservation areas in the world, and the unique Okavango Delta is a wondrous wetland in the middle of a desert.
Botswana is politically stable and one of the most prosperous countries in Africa. It is 45% conservancy and has outlawed hunting. Anyone caught shooting a rhino can get the death penalty. Botswana is known to safari connoisseurs as a remote and pristine wilderness with well-managed wildlife reserves. Wilderness Safari provided a perfect combination of secluded yet sophisticated lodging, expertly guided game viewing activities, and highly personalized service.
